The Filter options control whether an event in the specified date range is included in the output report. The menu entries are:
Primary Events Only
If Filter>Primary Events Only is checked, the output report will include primary events only.
Event Groups
You can change the events that are included using the Filter>Event Groups submenu. Check or uncheck Birth, Marriage, Divorce, Death, and Burial. Only checked events will be shown. Yes, OTD shows all events from those event groups, not just the specific events.
Flag Value (Person) Filter
You can include or exclude people based on a TMG flag-field value using the Filter>Flag Value... dialog. In the "Set Flag Value Filter" dialog:
- Choose a flag field from the Flag Field pull-down list.
- Choose Include or Exclude.
If you choose Include, the program will only consider events from people who have the the specified values in the Values textbox.
If you choose Exclude, the program will only consider events from people who do not have the the specified values in the Values textbox.
- Key a list of values in the Values textbox.
- Click the OK button.
Example 1: If you choose "SEX" as the flag field, Include, and key "M" in the Values textbox, the program will only list events from males. It will ignore events when SEX=F or SEX=?.
Example 2: If you choose "SEX" as the flag field, Exclude, and key "M" in the Values textbox, the program will ignore events from males. It will only include events when SEX=F or SEX=?.
