Today I was in a class and the speaker's subject was genealogy websites. He showed several really bad example sites and then he showed us his favorite site, the one he considers the best he has seen. At the bottom of the first page it said, 'Created by John Cardinal's Second Site.' It was great!!
I must tell you that at the reunion I showed the family the results of a CD built by Second Site. If I heard the word WOW one time I heard it thousands of times. You may want to rename SS to WOW <g>. People were gaga!
Second site is clean and uncluttered, fast and easy to use.

I found SS is very easy to use and my wife and I are very pleased with the results. We have over 35,000 relatives in our database and they are all displayed nicely on the website.
I have to tell you that I love SS. I have been inputting a lot of data from a parish register transcript and it has helped my find homes for a lot of strays that the 1901 census produced. Then I have been able to update my website so easily that I can almost do it daily.
It is such a pleasure to find software like Second Site that is supported by a real person.

I purchased Second Site last weekend, and I am very pleased with it. For the first time in a long time, I feel optimistic that it will result in my being able to communicate my research and ideas to people who might be interested, sooner rather than much later!

Wow! I just created my first site using John Cardinal's Second Site! Was THAT easy! And the results are wonderful. Lots of things to tweak if you want to, but the default settings produce excellent, 'camera ready' results.
I bought and downloaded Second Site this evening. This software is just perfect; I'm amazed. When I imported a [chart] and actually ended up with a clickable image with links, I couldn't believe what I saw. And it all works perfect in Norwegian. Pictures, sentences, custom tags, sources, the lot. Wow!

I finally bought Second Site, and I would like to say how very happy I am that I did. I have spent the past weekend cleaning up my TMG files (2,800+ people) and adding images. I have already made one CD and mailed it to a collaborating relation in England. Thanks for a splendid program.
Today I got an e-mail from my friend's Mum which said: 'I have been into your CD several times and am most impressed, not just the huge amount of info but the layout of the pages as well. Your understanding of html, xhtml, stylesheets. etc. certainly puts my understanding to shame.' My understanding of HTML, XHTML and stylesheets is, of course, precisely zero - the impressive layout is all thanks to Second Site.
