The Charts page demonstrates one of the many ways to use SubPage User Items. I added a SubPage User Item and then added multiple chart-type User Items to it. The result is the Charts page, a list of links to those charts. The list includes descriptions of the charts.
The recommended way to add charts to the site is to follow the method here: add a SubPage User Item and then add chart User Items to it.
Depending on how many charts you add (some users have added as many as 700!), you may want to split the charts into multiple SubPages. If you do that, but you would also like a list of all the charts in one place, you can use the Chart List User Item. It lists all charts no matter where they appear in the user Item hierarchy.
