Heroes' Tribute - June 18, 1951

HEROES' TRIBUTE: George Lovett and Paul Fiore are swamped by their eager young admirers after leading St. Raphael to a 2-1 victory over Westerly at Aldrich Field yesterday, a triumph which moved the Saints into the final of the R.I. Interscholastic League State playoffs against La Salle. Lovett (at left) drove in the winning run in the 12th inning while Fiore held the Bulldogs in check with an eight-hit pitching performance.
